So, earlier I had a nightmare. It was about snakes spiders and insects. Interestingly enough, I see a snake chillin right by the library in the middle of October when it should be approaching hibernation time.

Instead of fear overcoming me, I had a different emotion. Yes I was slightly scared at first, but I immediately started to have feelings of curiosity. I questioned whether it was real and invited a female that was right next to me to partake in my theory that it was fake. After kicking the snake and watching it recoil, I immediately felt bad that I nearly smashed bugger when I walked out for my cigarette break.

I felt compelled to care for the creature since there is no place near the library that could be its home. I did a little research and I'm relatively convinced it's not poisonous. So, I swept the creature in a plastic food container and punched some holes in the box. This feels like the most positive thing I've done in months.

After I get a cage, gloves, and food for the young prince, I'm going to parade around my new pet. I even have a friend who willing to take care of my pet for a while if I travel to LA this winter.

I learned a few lessons: Face your fears. Build something everyday. Do something positive everyday. Focus on something besides yourself.

Instead of facing your fears, change your mindset about the thing so that it's no longer a fear, facing it will do that, but hard work is for people not smart enough to find an easier way to do things :ugeek:

well toast with me to the fact that it isn't a fear anymore, and I've developed an interest in reptiles now.
