Natural Freedom

This Saturday some people from work were going to a trampoline park. I got a ride from a girl, who I'm friends with loosely. I've suspected she's liked me from her willingness to take me to a college visit that her brother went to and she told me I was far more attractive than her winter ball date.

We get there after driving around lost and nobody bothered to call a head. I wanted to go as I had never been. Well they were sold out except for 30 min after an hour wait. We spent at least 20 min deciding what to do. Most of the time (talking out of our separate cars) they were like what do you want to do with nobody really suggesting anything. I said bowling multiple times after somebody said there was a bowling alley around I hadn't been in a while and I like bowling. The group didn't agree.

I said to he let's ditch them and go bowling, I think the first think she said was I can't bowl, I'm bad, etc. Her whole body language changed. She seemed interested, but she said she didn't want to ditch them because she has to work with them. We both agreed they wasted our time. While driving we got lost again I recommended we ditch them. They started driving to a yogurt bar and she says that sold her, the yogurt was really good. That and the fear of social consequences stopped her.

I'm wondering am I taking this do what you want thing too far? This was supposed to be a work meet up, but we ended up wasting like 2-3 hours. I said we met the social obligation, we said we would go to the trampoline place.

Afterwards she said, you know what next time I'll listen to you.

Not far enough in my view.

I fail to see where you did 'do what you want', as you were tied to her, with her driving.

Drive yourself.

Then can switch to an alternative venue, if she wants to stay with the group, leave her with the group.

I meant the principle of it, yes I was tied. I questioned my judgement of the social obligation being met. In reality there was no obligation was there?

I don't have my license, my mom refuses to take me. The girl said she would take me lol.

If you don't have your license yet..that would be a good start. You should always try to pay your own way for everything to avoid such situations. An exception is a really close group of friends.
