This one was WAY ahead of its time.

Should be a required watch for anyone interested in the social matrix, how it was perceived at the time in certain quarters and how a lot of the predictions in the film have come to pass over time.

Includes a very accurate, perceptive and damning speech by the main protagonist.

Never heard of this movie before here.

Very interesting movie! Yes, much of what was portrayed in the film has played out in real life.

When he said this, I was fucking speechless!!

Also, the "You have meddled with the primal forces of nature" speech gave me pause.

And the speech given to Fay Dunaway "I feel guilty and conscience-stricken and all those things you think sentimental, but which my generation called simple human decency." made me smile.

This movie is good on so many levels

Edit, will add to the OP that it is also interesting on male/female relationship (max and diana 'the female humanoid' relationship)

a scene from this movie was re produced in "Holy Man", starring Eddie Murphy.
funny enough, "Holy Man" has to do with a Television Program.

(Scene where the Protagonist tells the viewers to go outside)
