This isn't about doing nothing...this is about being able to know when to do something AND
when to do nothing...when to occupy space and when to give it...when to speak and when to listen.

I agree with everything you said, but I also think the point needs to be made that doing nothing is actually doing something too. This is a fundamental point I have been debating in my mind, but I cannot come up with a persuasive argument against this framework. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm about to give some evidence I think I see.
In caliboy's example, his gut helped him do nothing. I don't think there is enough to say that he is projecting, but it is definitely important that his gut told him not to act on what he THOUGHT he saw.
I think that precedes whatever projection there may have been. The mind cannot supersede what the gut orders when the gut is listened to. It even comes across in what he's writing.
