Bottom line is that people assume there is no right answer because they don't want to face the reality that they are important. That their actions in this life matter.
This is a very important and thought provoking statement to me.
Interestingly, more than once I have heard people take literally the same writing or teaching, from religious, spiritual, philosophical, new-age, etc:
one will take it as far as 'nothing matters anyway, it's all meaningless.'
another will take it as far as 'not only do your actions matter but literally every moment of where your attention goes, where you are conscious vs. ignorant, what your relationship is to any given thought, matters profoundly beyond just yourself.'
