Bottom line is that people assume there is no right answer because they don't want to face the reality that they are important. That their actions in this life matter.
This is a very important and thought provoking statement to me.

Interestingly, more than once I have heard people take literally the same writing or teaching, from religious, spiritual, philosophical, new-age, etc:
one will take it as far as 'nothing matters anyway, it's all meaningless.'
another will take it as far as 'not only do your actions matter but literally every moment of where your attention goes, where you are conscious vs. ignorant, what your relationship is to any given thought, matters profoundly beyond just yourself.'

Same

I think the middle-ground is the sweet-spot. Realizing both sides and letting it go. I feel I could type a lot about this, but this gets into philosophy for me, and I don't want to go there.

100% agree with this

If I'm too rigid, I can't see the whole picture.

There is an endless supply of writing and opinion on the subject.
I certainly have had them and expressed them more than needed.

It's funny how many theories and opinions get formed about a subject that can literally be tested and have the results demonstrated to you in an instant if you are willing.

Regardless of who you believe in, follow or disagree with, the Jesus or Ramana Maharshi's of the world didn't become known by posting inspirational quotes or nice ideas, they lived and demonstrated what they taught and it was powerful enough to reach and influence lasting years with no internet marketing. The proof is in our actual lives. Anyone can say anything!

Meant to have quoted you there. Basically a nod of agreement on not getting into a philosophical discussion about that aspect. These days I find them cleverly ironic on subjects that we can test for ourselves directly and demonstrate directly.
