I've had this idea about meditation and digging deeper that I wanted to share as I test it out on a more consistent basis.
There's layers to meditation:
Layer 0 - just being able to sit still
Layer 1 - thoughts start to slow down
Layer 2 - noticing sensations
Layer 3 - feeling space
Layer 4 - being able to fly (bring things up without effecting them)
I'm focused on the last layer. Being able to bring something up and going deeper into it without trying to change it.
In the past, I tried to skip levels (in a lot of things actually
) and would get really frustrated and quit prematurely. This time around I noticed that there's steps to this that I can build on. And since I'm more serious this time around, I'm not in a rush.
So instead of trying to dig deep right away and maybe see why I need others approval so much for example. I'm building on the layers to give myself enough space to reflect on whatever it is I'm thinking about.
I need to be able to walk before I can run.
The message of befriending my demons is coming to mind right now. Like this is what that's about. If I'm always running around without space. How can I even get to the space to befriend my demons if I let alone can't even talk with them.
I wonder if this makes sense? A lot of it is grabbed from from the forum and my own experience. I noticed what I was doing wasn't working and didn't get me the results I want. So have to change it up.
Maybe it's more work now, but it'll be easier later on.
A lot of it is about observing and just letting it come naturally.
