| Well articulated, makes sense and hits home. In my 'nice guy' days I've seen and experienced this type of thing in varying degrees. My perspective on this now is, I enabled them acting the way they did by being that guy, not letting these women off the hook but men encourage this contemptuous behavior by being nice guys, I wouldn't equate it to being a rapist or entitled though so she makes a valid argument. Maybe not all women have it 100% but I believe they all have it to some degree. | |

| This is for you G' Referring to nice guys, or 'Willy Thompsons': CAUSE : Cause your queen of hearts who is half a stone And likes to laugh alone is always threatening you with leaving Oh but they play those token games on Willy Thompson Inner City Blues : Seven jealous fools playing by her rules Can't believe her He feels so in between, can't break the scene It would grieve her And that's the reason why he must cry He'll never leave her I Wonder : And I wonder about your friends that are not ("He's my bitccch") I wonder I wonder wonder I do Jane S. Piddy : Drifting, drowning in a purple sea of doubt You wanna hear she loves you but the words don't fit the mouth You're a loser, a rebel, a cause without A woman viewed by Nice guys: The Establishment Blues : boyfriend keeps suggesting You're not like all of the rest Like Janis : And you measure for love by the sweet things you're told ... And you want to be held with highest regard It delights you so much if he's trying so hard And you try to conceal your ordinary way With a smile or a shrug or some stolen cliche' What MEN see in women : Like Janis : 'Cos emotionally you're the same basic trip And you know that I know of the times that you slip So don't try to impress me, you're just pins and paint And don't try to charm me with things that you ain't And don't try to enchant me with your manner of dress 'Cos a monkey in silk is a monkey no less So measure for measure reflect on my said And when I won't see you then measure it dead 'Cos don't you understand, and don't you look about I'm trying to take nothing from you So why should you act so put out, And sit there in wonder and doubt, for me? CAUSE : Cause the sweetest kiss I ever got is the one I've never tasted Neon ladies, beauty is that which obeys, is bought or borrowed I'LL SLIP AWAY : And I'll forget about the girl that said no Then I'll tell who I want where to go And I'll forget about your lies and deceit And your attempts to be so discreet ... Cause you've been down on me for too long And for too long I just put you on Now I'm tired of lying and I'm sick of trying Cause I'm losing who I really am And I'm not choosing to be like them And if you get bored and you got loneliness Or it's dislike for me you express I won't care if you're right or you're wrong I won't care cause you see I'll be gone About a certain kind of women : CLIMB UP ON MY MUSIC : Well, there was a girl named Christmas, Did I tell ya she drank gold, (gold drinkers, anyone ? ) She wasn't very hard to capture, But she was rather hard to hold. ------ All lyrics by Rodriguez. (except between brackets) ------ Bitch Bad. Woman Good. Lady Better.
You can only be friendzoned if you are attached to the outcome. Crucify Your Mind : Were you tortured by your own thirst In those pleasures that you seek That made you Tom the curious That makes you James the weak? ------ Random quote of the day : Between What I think What I want to say What I believe I say What I say What you want to hear What you believe you hear What you hear What you want to understand What you believe you understand What you understand There are ten possibilities that we will have difficulties communicating. But let's try anyway, shall we? Bernard Werber

| Goldenboy - And you assume you got something to offer Secrets shiny and new But how much of you is repetition That you didn't whisper to him too | |

Goldenboy - And you assume you got something to offer Secrets shiny and new But how much of you is repetition That you didn't whisper to him too Edit : I saw it, but didn't put it because it can be also applied to men (unlike my other quotes imo) ... Otherwise there would have been more, some with more innuendos than others. (Some lyrcis are quite cryptic for me still ...) But note taken Goes up there in the "What MEN see in women" part

| I will correct myself ... The last line 'That you didn't whisper to him too' applies surely far more to women than men ... (I never whispered, and moreso to a man's ears ...) So I stand corrected. It was to put up there and I should have done it. I disregarded this last line while browsing my lyrics file hence my thought that it applied to everyone ... All is good. | |

| Conversely, friendzoned women behave in the exact same way. | |

| Was not expecting that from first seeing her. It simply comes down to human nature and the sooner you can swallow the pill, push past the gagging and nausea, you can see the truth and be at peace with it. I find myself doing the same thing without consciously and mean-spiritedly being manipulative to girls that are obsessed with me but that I'm not attracted to. "Sure you can buy me another drink", "Wow, you'll get the check, thanks!" "You have tickets to Heat vs Bulls - I'd love to go" | |
