Nicely said Spaceman,

I myself have also been focusing on breath as I meditate, only as a form of relaxation however. One thing that I messed myself up about was that when I used to mediate I would "concentrate" on a paticular sound, item, or sensation. But that was very limiting in the fact that true meditation is about "acceptance." So in that sense I stoped concentrating and started accepting in my relaxation and that has proved wonders for not only getting out of my mind, but to also accept with love the thoughts I do have.

I also use mediation in times of temptation and troubles, so much so, that when I do meditate my spirit communicates to me that the temptations and troubles are nothing to worry about in the first place. All that remains is the love that which the spirit is. Really remarkable I would say!!
