Recently, a family member acquired a job for me in a town where jobs are scare. Many students where I live and all looking for restaurant jobs for tips. My family member had ins with the owner of the restaurant. My family member who hooked it up is a phucking pimp. His friend, the owner, is also a phucking pimp. This owner is a self made man who went from rag to riches. Doesn't stand for any shit from others; nice fella, but firm.

I killed the interview, so well that for the first time in an interview I got paid!

I was saucy good in the interview with my responses and vibe that at the end of the interview I quote you:

Owner: I don't usually do this, but your (my family members name) nephew, take this ($40), and go get yourself something to eat and write a yelp review.

He did say it was because I was his friends nephew, but even the manager who was at the table was in shock of the owner's actions. He said why he did what he did, but I feel he noticed the force in me and took a little liking to it. This man is self-made, so you know he has some force in him. It was nice to get that freebie meal. The meal was only $15 too. 8-)

Keep at it fellas...the rewards are bigger than pussy. What we speak of here applies to life.

Having said that the main reason for this thread was due to the uneasy feelings I had once I acquired the job. I felt a bit of anxiety and fear soon after the interview. Fear of failure. A lot of "what ifs". Fear of not stepping it up and confronting my fears.

Although I can spit at bitches in night clubs I still have an anxiety with socializing. I'll be working at the bottom and working my way up. Starting as food runner and then working my way up to server and maybe manager later on.

I'm nervous about serving food and dealing with groups of people. This job will be a great tool to confront my fears and worries. It's sink or swim. I need the money. I'll go through this and come out stronger than ever before in my time. 8-)

I felt the same way when I got the job in meat processing factory - I havn't been eating meat for like 5 years now and I got lucky working at packacking department, because I can work in that environment, if I was in the cooking side of the factory I wouldn't last a day :D
World seems very different after I went there (and am still going), can't understand why precisely but doesn't matter really. But seeing the people there working 10+ years with no increase in pay (and you got almost minimal wage there), or better job, it's a dead-end, so I will work there as long as I need to, no more.

Good job btw, you aced it
