Not familiar with the Animus/Anima stuff but from what I gather it's 'you' or 'the observer', in conflict with the shadows and the one that ultimately makes the decisions.

Technically one could count the storm troopers as personal demons but far as analogy they'd be base issues, there's so many layers to that shit though.

Alchemist-

Anima/Animus are to do with the the masculine/feminine expression in each gender. The Anima is the personification of all feminine psychological tendencies within a man- the archetypal feminine symbolism within a man's unconscious. The Animus is the personification of all masculine psychological tendencies within a woman- the archetypal masculine symbolism within a woman's unconscious.

We are basically masculine and feminine. It's yet another trick of The Matrix to fool us into believing that we if we have a cock we should only hold and exhibit so called masculine tendencies. This is unnatural and produces alot of weird behaviour in men- such as pursuing women! We are as nurturing as woman are protective and so on. It's quite prevalent in the 'community' that men try and become alpha, and all sorts of problems for them ensue.

Anyway, although I'm not that familiar with Star Wars, i'd agree with your interpretation. Where's Chewie though?
