This one´s little tough, you´d think but
I started training for front split in early
January and I´m already capable of doing
the front split.
What I do, daily, is a little warm-up and
30-60min stretching, I am at the point of
just a little warm up and I can do this.
The key is, to hold each stretching position
for 30 seconds, so it hurts a little. Every day,
I try to stretch a bit deeper than before.
Each now and then, between the stretches,
I direct Energy through my body so the muscles
stay fresh. (This feels like cold water poured on my
legs, outside&inside.)
Usually all kind of kicking exercises included,
one that really stretches my legs is high front kick.
Also side kicks are good, 10 sets per foot, for a good
4-5 times.
I heard that flexibility is also a key to running
faster lap times on the track.
