Just wanted to say - Over a teamspeak talk I was talking with one of my friends and somehow we got onto this topic - He was surprise you can play PSX games on pc. He told me his console broke done and he didn't get it repared and he would like to play some old titles he has - I told him where to get emulator etc.
The bro was so happy he almost cried lol.

I know that feeling. Like, very well. In my computering youth n00bness adventures, I already knew that you could emulate games on pc, like snes, genesis, master system, and was like meh that ok, very good but I tought it was mostly
that specific consoles. I didn't even imagine that the same reverse engineering concept could be applied to more potent systems. And that's when the magic started for me, hehe I remember one night that I stumbled upon an abandonware page that said; You could play arcade games on pc, and recreate those days you spent hours stand up in front of a big box of wood with a monitor and weird sounds!, that moment I tought that was the biggest bullshit I've read, but kept reading nonetheless, and the then I followed the steps this guys gave, so hours later (old internet dialup conection) I clicked enter to an icon that resembled a dinosaur head (Cadillac&Dinosaurs), and that was the first time that I saw those crisp and flawless graphics with scanlines, I replayed some known titles from arcade (mostly cps-1) it was a magical moment to me, I didn't sleep that night, trying different games on mame32 v0.36: -joe & mac, mortal kombat, final fight, sf ce, playchoice-10 games, you name it!, and trying to conjure up in my memory the old titles that made me dream I can have the experience of an "arcade cabinet" in home. Heh, also feeling like a boss because I can introduce too many credits without actually paying a quarter! -->[5] well usually this end up with BIG bill from electric and telephonic companies and my parents a bit pissed off becasue of my time spent on computer, and they couldn't make phone calls! well the rest is history, and others multitude of titles and concepts applied to different electronics, frantically searching and seeking for roms (don't do that, that's illegal, if you don't own the pcb

).
Those were and are still the times.
Now I'm a little interested in emulating Mac OS, specifically MacOS 8 to replay some cute mid 90's games.
But I can't configure well the Basilisk II.
..... I dumbed a bit, because I was all cisco.
Also saving up for Astro City cabinet and turn the machine into a retrocade, and have a taste of shibuya in my home.
