Thanks GB, subject that has been floating around for years, both in and out of the media. Seen much discussion in relation to Japan and China in recent years, more so since covid.

First 30 minutes lays the groundwork and covers most of the existing discussions, from then it changes angles. Interesting as to the things that changed and those that did not and the difference from the data that has been presented previously.

During my life, the message I have received from media, society and other influences has been overwhelmingly over population and have less children, work more, do it later etc etc

I could say those in control, power or influence actively encouraged their workers to produce less children by making the situation less conducive to having them both financially and lifestyle wise. The actions conflict with the curve and the two combined interfered with each other. The influence of socio economic influences on society, acting against the natural design.

A discussion intimately tied to the whole topic of dating, relationships and partners. The phrase birthgap sums it up well, the maps are thought provoking. Enjoyed his approach to the data and looking beneath. The vitality curve will look familiar to readers of this forum, by different names.

Well presented and from a different perspective, worth a watch.

'I had been searching for the answer to the wrong question'

There is a deep irony here, imho. And a sense of the butterfly wings in action
