Ok, so in this thread: http://www.naturalfreedom.info/viewtopi ... =40#p24271

This brought up a question that I have had before and not been able to come to a good answer to.

What are the ethics of being the man who the woman cheats with? (ie. the "man with a spine" whom the girl sleeps with while she is still with a "provider" kind of guy)

I was an "enabler" like this for a girl last year, but I never really knew how I felt about being the guy who was enabling the cheating. Her boyfriend was a symp who lived out of state, so I wasn't worried about him coming after me at all.

What do you guys think about it? Are there any good reasons to avoid being the enabler (other than not wanting to get some guy coming after you)? Is there some ethical wrongness to it, or is that uneasy/unsure feeling I have about it just the social matrix at work?

I'd personally be against it if it was a married woman with kids/family. It's true that if it's not with you, a woman will probably cheat with somebody else, but I'd hate to be a person that could theoretically fuck up a family and mainly the kids upbringing. Just not worth it to have that on my consciousness.

No kids though? Anything goes.

Do what you feel right doing.

If it does not sit well with you, do not do it.

If you have no problem with it, do it.

Simple.

Its funny that this topic has come up because right now i'm the other guy. The woman i'm seeing rationalises it by saying that she's seeing me for the good of the marrige. I never intended on dating a married woman, it just seems like I attract unavailible women. At first I didn't even realize she was married. I never thought I would think this way but if she's going to cheat it might as well be with me. I'm a patient guy and I understand the situation so I won't get attached. I've also made it clear that i'm dating other women. Another thing about my situation is that I live in a town thats a couple of hours away and I only go out with her when i'm there for work. Otherwise I probably wouldn't date a married woman that lives near me.

You're pretty much doing it right except I wouldn't even go out...someone she knows sees you (or someone who knows the hubby...which is even WORSE) two and it could get ugly for you. I would do strictly room sessions...meet, greet, slide her the meat, skeet, and retreat!

The only reason why people cheat is that
they don´t know what they want.

Orrrrrrr....

Now that they that have locked in what they THOUGHT they wanted, they realize that it wasn't what they REALLY wanted/needed.

ORRRRR....

They got with their partner knowing that sexual satisfaction was not a deciding factor...exchanged for security/family/money...and they ALWAYS knew that cheating was going be a viable option. Hell, they probably even cheated with a bridesmaid/groomsmen on their wedding night!
